The Message Of The Cross

The cross is a symbol that is seen by many every day in churches, cemeteries, artwork, and various other places. Have you ever thought of what the meaning of the cross really is? There is a powerful message in the cross, let's take a look at this wonderful truth.

Most people have heard that Jesus died on the cross. Ancient history reveals this as an established fact. But why did Jesus die on the cross? The Bible tells us that Jesus was falsely accused and delivered to be crucified because the religious leaders of his day were jealous of him. These men did not like the fact that multitudes of people were following Jesus. They felt threatened they would lose their position and influence. Though Jesus was preforming amazing miracles and teaching with great authority, they rejected him. They orchestrated a false trial and used their influence to have him crucified, even though the Roman governor Pilate could find no fault in him.

The Bible tells us that this was all part of God's plan for Jesus to go to the cross. Jesus lived a sinless life and died an agonizing death of crucifixion as an innocent man. As Jesus was dying, he was fulfilling God's plan to be our savior. He was accomplishing something for all people.

Amazing Love seen at the cross

Through him God was showing us his amazing love by allowing Jesus to be a substitute for us all. Jesus was paying the penalty for all our sins, all the things that make us guilty before God. What Jesus accomplished for us has opened the way for us to be made right with God. The sacrifice of the blood of Jesus has provided access for us to the presence of God.

The cross is a symbol of the love of God. It represents the sacrifice of the Son Of God Jesus Christ for the world. It forever proclaims that though hopeless and insufficient in ourselves God gave us the ultimate gift of Jesus so we could be made right with Him and have eternal life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The cross is a message of Peace
We can have peace with God and be in complete harmony with our creator through receiving what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross. What heavenly rest to be at peace with God knowing you are not condemned. Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

                                                       God's Bridge: The Cross
The cross is a bridge of hope that crosses the gulf of sin that separated God from man.
Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says...

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ." 1 Timothy 2:5
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." 1 Peter 3:18
There is a bridge that brings us to The Fathers House with all the goodness blessings and glory God wants us share with us forever. Though the bridge must be crossed to arrive at that destination. I pray that your eyes would be open to see the depth of God's love that the cross reveals to us. God gave His best Jesus to suffer and die in our place so we could be part of His family. Jesus willingly offered His life for us all, suffering the penalty of our sin and shame in our place so we could cross the bridge and Know the Father and become a new creation in Christ.
So the next time you see a cross remember you are loved, you can have peace and go across the bridge of hope to the Father's House.
